As regards industry, it consists of 5 leading
industrial sectorsof metal metallurgy,
machinery and automotive parts, textile and
garments, foodstuff processing, chemical and
building materials. In the city there are 390
enterprises of appropriate scale including two
listed ones of Zhonglu and Hualong, all of
which possess 15 name brand or trade marks
above the provincial grade, among which, two
are of China’s name brands. In respect of
agriculture, it has come into one with its
unique characteristics composed of 250,000 mu
(15 mu equal to 1 hectare) of elite fruits,
50,000 mu of miscellaneous and dry fruits,
150,000 mu of vegetables, 20,000 mu of sea
aquiculture and 6 million heads of livestock
and poultry. 70 leading agriculture
enterprises have incorporated with 300,000 mu
of standardized growing base. Four kinds of
produces including Hualong peanut have been
listed “green food�by the state agriculture
ministry. Seven agricultural produces
including “Duoshan�branded apple have been
conferred as innocuous agricultural produces
by the provincial agriculture department. As
for service industry, with tourism as the
leader, 5 large tourism projects have been or
yet to be completed such as Darushan Leisure
and Vacation Zone of six billion yuan
investment, Juyushan Landscape, Furudonghai
(fortune and happiness as vast as the eastern
sea) Culture Garden, the Oriental Ruyi
International Metropolis and the Gold Culture
Garden. In the meanwhile, the exhibition and
business logistics projects of the Exhibition
Center of Taiwanese funded businesses,
Jiujiufa International Business Mart, Jiuye
Warehousing Logistics have been competed.
